Lost your Focus ...?

Posted By: Khatera Haywood on February 22, 2005 Last week was a little hectic for me and I kept asking myself what was goin on, you know i ignored it, maybe it was just one of those things, everybody has their moments.. days...week? but yea it was horrible i would never wish that upon any person. But earlier this week i figured out ut tha problem was. I had lost my focus. i was doin everything just for me and me only but you know its not about me. So to help make sure i dont loose my focus like that ever again Im goin to post a weekly devotion. Maybe i can help somebody else that is having or will have tha same problem i had so here goes. Scripture For the WEAK/WEEK( bcuz everybody is definately weak at some point): Deuteronomy 8;3 He humbles you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you tha man does not live by bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Devotion: Humans get hungry, and not just for food but for a whole range of desires and deams. Hunger to have hopes fufilled and longings answered seems to be built into us. Sometimes our hunger gets us in trouble, and we wish we could curb our appetites. God has good reasons for giving us such large apetites. He has placed within us desires and dreams in order to test us and humble us, to see whats is in our heart, to see whether or not we would follow him. He causes us to hunger so that we might learn to feed on the bread of heaven, to live on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
