HOMETOWN MEMPHIS 07.13.2009

Taking on a new excursion, I have a new venue for Hometown Memphis. You'll be able to view it from my web-site as well. If you wish to visit please just click on my web site address below. Still you can read and enjoy it here as well. This news was posted 07.13.2009

ALL WE HEARD WAS A CRASH!
07.11.2009 --Memphis, TN
The Scottish Rite building saw and heard a crash on Saturday, July 11 2009 while the group called Sons of Confederate Veterans were having their lunch in the establishment's cafeteria. A section of the cafeteria's roof came tumbling down and fell just as the group gathered in line to have a bite. A witness stated that "One piece fell and the people moved back. Then another piece fell!" The collaspe caused a lot of noise and a lot of dust. The Scottish Rite building is located at 825 Union Avenue across from Forrest Park. The University of Tennessee is currently trying to aquire the property to make room for a Clinical Services Building which is part of the $40 million dollar makeover and $200 million four-year campus. That must of been plenty scary! Geeze no cheese?.., but they probably "tasted a bit of the dust!"
Moving along...let's read this next story which is still heard about around Memphis.....

THE ELEPHANT BABY
07.06.2009--Memphis, TN
Last Monday, Memphis Zoo Officials announced to their delight the birth of the first elephant baby calf in the Zoo's history. Asali the mother delivered a baby girl! The very next day however, Asali accidentily injured her new born by picking her up only to drop her down with a small crash. Zoo officials were deeply hurt and the new mother elephant felt detraught. Now it's has many stimulating a debate if the death of the elephant baby could of been prevented. Many animals kept in captivity do not develop the naturing skills as those in the wild and often can injure or kill their new borns. This created a concern on how animals breded in capativity are monitered.

However, Zoo officials feel confident, they are handling the animals with good care and feel there was little or nothing that could be done to save the baby elephant. After the death of the calf, zoo officials named her Lil' Girl. (Photo not actual elephant in story)

That's so tragic, but she can try again....Boy! A whole year to be expecting all over again..! "Asali...I'll leave that up to you"

One more beat and you'll hear this!

NEXT...!

YOU HEARD THAT!

THE ROMPER'S BEAT GOES

ON...

07.10.2009--Memphis, TN

Saturday afternoon at the Levitt Shell in Overton Park was fIlled with the beat at the Rock-n-Romp concert series. Toddlers were "roaming and romping" to the beat of drumming and strumming, jumping and clapping.
This annual event actually started in backyards said board member Stacy Greenberg. They were held in backyards of mid-town families homes and the show drew more and more each year so they had to move to the shell for a big baby party! Toddlers were everywhere! Dancing and enjoying bands that's what they liked to hear! So many heard that coming it was fully attended. Awesome music and a festival of little fun for the young. For more information on the next concert call 901-529-2702 Source: The Commercial Appeal
I wondered if they kinda felt like Rug Rats?
This could be a something they'll hear about when they're all grown up! You know what? It's a new experience to do this new venue of Hometown Memphis.

NOW HEAR THIS!
Baby it's time to go!

Okay! glad you found your way "hear" Thanks for clicking in... Hope to hear your comments.
