Medical Marijuana Sold in Stores

Posted By: MIISRAEL Bride on July 22, 2009 Watching the national news media, I was drawn to the attention of the reports of medical marijuana being sold in stores like novelty shops. Most of the shops focused in on the stores in California cities where the proprieters sells medical marijuana. "Why, I never even dreamed I see this day." " I must be really naive".., I thought to myself. I don't know, but I am very much aware that this drug is sold for medical purposes, but I didn't realize it was sold in shops and stores that a spreading like wildfires. Medical marijuana shop owners not only sell the weed, but they grow it in the shops as well. Feeling somewhat obsolete to all facts, I should know that one of my own family members is prescribed to use medical marijuana for treatment of glacoma. I found I had completely dismissed the fact that it could be sold in public stores. Somewhere along the way I became diluted in thoughts that perhaps it was only at the local pharmacy stores. Then listening attentively, the story continued with the government wanting to place a tax on the precriptions of the users of the drug. However, some government officials feel that will only broaden the door to the street value, because many medical marijuana users would only turn to the black market to buy their drugs there. Some doctors who precribe the drug to their patients are against taxing the drug and one physician said in a similiar quote " prescription drugs do not always help patients who are using medical marijuana, and many precription drugs come with too many side effects and are habit forming. Medical marijuana usually carry no side effects and is not normally habit forming at all." He went on to say that the patients using the precribed medical marijuana are actually being helped. It's looks as if the shops that opening up everyday have little chance to be shut down and that the medicial marijuana is here to stay. Man! how have things changed! "I must really lead a simple life", but I must remember "I am in the world even if I am not of it." It's open and it's shut. Medical marijuana stores are to remain open. What do you think? Irma you made so many points it's almost shocking! I know that for sure not everyone walking in those shops are buying marijuana with the intention to use as precriptions. "I'm not that naive!" If they are not going to legalize this drug, you wouldn't know it by the way they are somewhat undercovering the sale of it in with a legal face. We all know there's a game of cat and mouse and polictians and governments have a way they're getting a piece of the action. Like Mozell said "Volunteered to tax themselves and give to the city." It's not new but, I find it's a big shark bite!

MIISRAEL, I will say this again as I have said before:as soon as we get beyond the things like the base that the Republicans tried to hide behind to do their dirt then these two things will happen in this state that I live in ,California!! This BROKE state, that has a republican governor, will have as legal, marijuana and same s*x marriage. The reason this is going to become a reality much sooner than later is so simple we tend to over look it altogether..."IT IS THE ECONOMY STUPID"! Have you ever heard this expression my sister?(smile) this drug is grown openly more in our state and Federal parks high up in the mountian areas by illegals. this is made some of our parks a death trap for visitors to these parks.It has been this way for years now. Then those many, many bridal and flower shopes that did such a booming business that short time that same s*x marriages was legal can reopen up for business and people coming into our state can bring lots and lots of money and pay taxes. Now, to the part about the medical marijuana that the news you saw may have left out...With the police being laid off in record numbers, these shops are opening up so fast all over until last week our politicians went to emergency meetings to find out if they could pass a law restricting these places opening so fast in the same areas!!!this is only part of this as these Wise White men now say that they need POLICE to be in these shops making sure that everyone buying weed has a perscription,DUH...you don't have enough police as it is to get around the city where are you going to get them to stay in all of these places opening up like a fast moving death!!!!! Oh, let us not leave out how this state is now going to have to let prisnors out just to be able to get some more prisnors in jail /prison????????? Now, what was that Judge Sonia sotomajor got put down for saying being able to make wiser decission than those White men?LOL This is a disgrace to our country and its honest law abiding peoples, but open season on them by the criminals...(I am not smiling)Oh, did you know that one could buy weed from vending machines much like you do a soda in this state as not a new thing????!!? MIISRAEL and Mozell, I know I am a party pooper, but may I bring up how the lobby money is not called a BRIBE(smile)and like I said all in the name of taxing...but, bear this in mind from the real world, weed is the best selling cash crop in this state and we are a fruit and nut and vegetable growing state some what on par with Fl. along with Mexico...this has to happen... I am for any thing that takes the being able to get rich quick out of it. But, as I heard a wise teens say once...those who are really making those big bucks will be the last to go to jail, it is those selling on the street tha get so little money but they get big time, time in prison for selling it...
