It Just Aint' Right!!!

Posted By: Tony June on July 25, 2005 I'm tired of hearing about the non-exsistant good BLACK man! I tired of hearing that all the black men are either in gay, in jail, or not worth a dime. Yes, some men are highly influenced music videos, and what they see on T.V, but what about the guys that aren't? What about the men that are not sexin' every girl they come in contact with? Recently, a girl told me that I would never be able to get close to her because I'm a black man, and black men are all the same. Now that just ain't right!!! How can a man show a woman that he wants to be true to her? How long will it take for her to believe him? Help a brutha' out! I feel you 200%. I hate it when our men, and our women for that matter is placed in a category all on there on. That is so not fair. Fortunately, not all women stereotype. Many of us have been hurt, and fortunately again, we won't blame that hurt on everyone else. (not all women do that). I just encourage you to continue to be the man that you are and just because some females choose to be act juvenile, don't lose your sincerity. And another thing, if they won't date you, its definately not meant to be. I'm sure the woman that is for you, is better than any woman you could have thought of for yourself. Of the subject, i see you're doing it big in louisiana also.

just adding on to what others were saying, part of the problem too is not that good black been don't exist, it's that women don't really know what they want. we say we want one thing, but when we get it, we don't know what to do!! i know i've passed up MANY good guys because they were "too sweet" or "too nice", and in hindsight, that was the dumbest thing i could do. i am noticing though that as i mature and i begin to realize what really matters, i am starting to truly appreciate and value the good black men in my life. i think it's just something that comes with age and experience. just keep doing what you do and when the right girl comes along, she'll appreciate you and all you have to offer. :-)

Sit tight, Baby Boy! You are a good black man and don't let any woman or girl tell you any different. Sometimes it takes maturity to realize this. Good black women go through the same thing when they see all the girls who are the "not quite as nice" get snatched up before them, time and time again. You will find a good black woman out there searching for a good black man. I got me one of those good black men and I'll stand up and strike a match on that. I also have 3 good black men (my sons) whom I have instilled God into their lives and pray every day that with God and the influence and example of their father they will remain good respectful black men.
