Posted By: Dan Woolsey on August 31, 2009 Ned Sublette is a New York City-based author, historian, and musician who lived in and studied New Orleans during the year leading up to Hurricane Katrina. Although he had already returned to New York when the storm hit, his connection to the city had grown strong enough that he was devastated by the events and returned many times since. On the fourth anniversary of the storm, he shares his experiences in that city -- what he saw and what affected him most significantly -- along with his hopes and concerns for its cultural future.
