Sad Day 4 Me

Posted By: Jamila Simmons on February 23, 2005 I know I blogged today, but I just found out that my great grandmother died today. I wasn't even expecting that news and I didn't even hear it from my mother but from my cousin. I was in shocked and I had to hold my tears in until I got to my room. I feel so sad and regretful because my grandmother and I were so close and then we just grew apart...or did I? You think that the person you love is going to be with you for a long time and you think you have such a long time to say what you want to say to that person. Then...they are gone. It was a long time coming because she has been sick for a while. At least she died in her sleep and did not feel any pain. I think she was going to go for a while but she was fighting death although she had always told me that she was never scared to die. True, but I think she was scared to leave her family. But I'll misss her sooo much. Friday I will be going to North Carolina and I won't be back till Monday night. The sad thing is I've never been to a Funeral before nor have I had anyone close to me die. I'm nervous, scared, and sad at the same time. I'm sorry for your loss. But sometimes, you try to stay close to a person, but you each grow apart. It happens. Don't blame yourself. Keep your head up. It's cool to be nervous and scared, but remember, we all have a time limit on our heads. Keep ya head up and live life to the fullest.
