The Truth Part II

Posted By: Lonzo Lucas II on September 19, 2009 I was surfing the internet yesterday when I came across something so profound that I had to share it with the multitude that were not aware of its existence, what is it, you ask? A website that actually shows the contributions African-Americans have made not only to America, because that is so minute when one compares it to the grand scheme of things, mainly on the historical front. America, (400+ years) Korea (1000+ years). The content that I uncovered was so mind blowing that I had to write an article about it, I mean the Toy, which is part of the world’s lexicon was invented by Margaret Cheetham in 1935 or how about the ironing board invented in 1892 by Sarah Boone this is just a sample of what African-Americans have contributed to the world it is through some of those inventions that people around the globe are able to function in their daily lives and do so without thinking about how or why. Yet in some corners of the globe, African-Americans are despised, vilified, and made to seem less than human. If it wasn’t for them you wouldn’t be able to comb your hair in the morning, thank Samuel T. Crawford for that, or if you got sick, how would a Nurse administer medicine to you via a disposable syringe or IV were it not for the contributions of Phil Brooks, it would not have been possible. How about the ingenuity of Edmond Berger in inventing the spark plug how would you start your car up in the morning to get to work and earn a living? Or better yet, if it weren’t for Charles M. Banks, how would a mechanic be able to change your oil lifting up your car to see underneath without the Hydraulic Jack? When this country is in mourning and flags are flown at half staff, think about Francis D. Crichton because he invented the Flag Staff. The point that I am making here and understand that I am only on the C section of African-American inventors, so part two will follow, but with that being said, the truth is coming to light, the battle of wills between African-Americans and Caucasians in America is futile from the information that I have revealed and have yet to still uncover, it shows a bias, a puppet pulling the strings and the puppet being led mentality. I blame the media for its sensationalism in highlighting the negative in blaming African-Americans whenever America has a problem, stupidity at its finest and those with the mentality of a pea feed right into it, sounds like hostile and negligent journalism still based on an agenda that perpetuates hate while encouraging division; so in effect the media is doing its job, it is up to those who are aware of what is taking place to stop it. In my opinion that is the driving force behind the negative thinking, behind those that are easily influenced by what they see on TV, read in the newspaper or listen to on the radio in America, but I have a separate article in the works for that mechanism in the near future. Lonzo, if I may be so friendly, I commend you for writing such a beautiful article. The fact that it is new (early morning) I hope will find its way upwards on reviews. I am one that can see, hear and feel what you have written; however, much to my dismay - I have to also add OUR people and the lack of interest in reading media with value versus gossip as a BLAME. The same way you discovered the information you provide is the same way WE should discover the information you provide - READ! There is no reason BLACK HISTORY should not be a full requirement in school and a natural part of the history of this country. IF YOU DON'T USE IT - YOU LOSE IT - meaning if we as a people don't demand a 'truthful' education for our children (but let us educate ourselves first), then we have no one to blame but ourselves. Thank you Myth, right on point with that analysis there are some of us like yourself that can appreciate this information but the challenge is to make this palpable to those who look to sensationalism as their means to an end, it is something that I will grapple with until I find a viable solution.

ust got back from Ethiopia we are truly descended from royalty, our Kings and Queens are mentioned and revered in the bible. (King Solomon/Queen Sheba) Haile Sellasaise formerly known as Ras Tafari is regarded as a god among the Jamaican peoples. I visited the town of Sheshemenhe, Ethiopia where Ras Tafari delegated 10 acres of land to the Jamaicans, who believe in the second coming of Haile Sellasaise (the Emperor's second name when he changed it) and believe that he will come back to them. In (Marijuana sales/drug use rampant) sad that it wasn't developed into what Ras envisioned but his intentions were impressive. nonetheless. I am hoping that my input helped, for some reason the locals believed that all African-Americans lived to smoke weed, when I told then that was not true they begin to spread that amongst themselves, so I am hoping that my presence there changed the perception of who we are and what we are about in Africa.
