BALTIMORE BOOK FESTIVAL ~ September 25 - 27, 2009
|
Posted By: agnes levine on September 21, 2009 Hey, y'all! Howyabeendoin'? I did it again, I know, but I got a great excuse this time. I have been swamped with healthcare reform and homework! But I had to make sure you all knew about the Baltimore Book Festival this weekend! The Baltimore Book Festival draws thousands of avid readers, publishers, authors, and everybody in between. It is held in Mt. Vernon, downtown Baltimore, Maryland annually during the last weekend in September. Yours truly volunteers every year and I will be there again this year. You can find me in the Children's Craft tent where kidz return every year and try to beat me at SCRABBLE - yeah right!;)- Not even one of the child stars from the "Spelling Bee" could accomplish that, but man-o-man did she have a word that had all 26 letters of the alphabet in it........Lord, have mercy! Of course, I passed. . . . .:)- Ok, where was I...oh, yeah, the Baltimore Book Festival will kick off at NOON on Friday, September 25, 2009! It will run Saturday and Sunday as well and this year there will be an after-party following the festival on Saturday, September 26, 2009. Beer, wine, free foods while they last...uuh, the free stuff is just for the volunteers - sorry:)- But, not to fret, if you attend the Festival on Sunday, September 27, 2009, you get the chance to meet yours truly in person! That's right, on Sunday, I will switch hats and be selling almost the last of my book: "Cooling Well Water: A Collection of Work By An African-American Bipolar Woman" ISBN 13 978-0-9754612-0-4. Visit the Black Writers Guild tent and purchase your copy and see what's free from yours truly. I'll be waiting to meet you between Noon and 3:30 p.m. Rain or shine, come out and enjoy the Festival!
