Posted By: Mythical Bliss on September 29, 2009 My [Ben’s] Interview Question what do you think about education? Thank you, Ben Brown for this beauty of a question. I think that education, as it has been put forth in the United States of America, should be more reflective of the truth regarding the heritage of this great nation. Truth in that it should reflect the 'real' contributions of its diverse people to the success of this country. I want to know 'actually' who invented what not who was allowed to patent, copyright or take credit for an invention. Teach the truth about the oppressive culture after our early formation and how this mindset allowed undeserving 'creditors' of invention and procedures to receive honor and not the truth shadowed by a lie as to how the U.S.A. became a dominant power. We should be learning about our 1st President, John Hansen, and how he (a Black man) had to pay for the revolutionary war out of his own pocket. That it was he, as President, who appointed George Washington as General over the newly formed United States' army. Not that George Washington was the first president - he was just the 1st President under the new constitution that allowed for a 4-year term. You know, that kinda stuff.
