VSU'S NGAUJA NAMED CIAA DEFENSIVE BACK OF THE WEEK

Posted By: Jehan Bunch on September 29, 2009 Virginia State University's Alfred Ngauja has been named the CIAA Defensive Back of the Week, the CIAA announced on Monday, September 28. Ngauja, a sophomore from Alexandria, Va., returned a fumble for a CIAA-record 95-yard touchdown, and intercepted a pass in the end-zone as time expired to preserve a 25-20 VSU upset over Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, N.C. Ngauja also returned the game's opening kickoff 81 yards before being tackled just short of the end zone. Ngauja is a product of Bladensburg High School in Alexandria.
