PREPAID CARDS, WILL THEY HARM OUR BLACK PEOPLE'S CREDIT?

I recently received my new Black History Card and I can't tell you how excited I am. Its my very own personal PrePaid MasterCard (DEBIT) that will allow all of my family members to load money into my account. Not only will the card allow my family to support me financially, the Black History Card company also has alot of great campaigns running such as scholarships for school and I know how hard it can be finding the funds to attend and stay enrolled in college so such a scholarship could really help many of us students. The card, unlike many other enticing companies, is actually a credit builder and won't make you have bad credit as many of our parents have warned us against.

Simply a card that allows you to spend only what money you actually have on the card, no credit is actually involved.

Not only is the card beneficial, it is also just a really nice and professionally looking card. Seeing as direct deposit is COMPLETELY FREE, once I start my work-study program next semester, I can have my paycheck directed straight to my Black History Card with no hassle of finding a ride to the bank to cash it. College students can also have their refund checks directly deposited on the their Black History Card accounts. HOW CONVENIENT?

The possibilities are endless with my Black History Card and I hope that I can spread the message to all college students to sign-up for a Black History Card, and reep the benefits that can help make college life that much easier.

I would not recommend this card unless it is a bank debit card with an FDIC insured bank, no overdraft protection and no annual fees attached. Our black kids are destroyed by not having any training in fancial skells as kids and being preyed upon when they become young adults who want to prove desperately how grown they are!! Beware, young person. The first odd mistake on your statement, drop it. Lack of credit is fine. Bad credit is horrible.

Just because an advertisement has President Obama's image or words used does not mean the President endorses the program!!

and thats where u are soooo wrong. I was honored to have came across this card. Yes as a young black person i thought it was a big scam, but literally after loosing EVERYTHING this company gave me an opportunity to receive an paid internship and still have a way to receive money from loved ones in minutes without spend an arm and a leg, from someone like moneygram, etc. This company is and national campaign, giving college students an opportunity to make money while i school and receive chances to win their scholarships. their perks are great such as no fee to sign up, no minimum balance, builds credit and also send alerts within seconds of all transactions. i say its better than a bank card and i had this card for a half of year now. its not a credit card its a prepaid card.
