Posted By: Harry Watley on December 05, 2009 A letter of President George Washington was auction off for over $3 million in New York. This letter had been in the hands of Mr. Washington’s descendents well over a hundred years. It was about the ratification of the new constitution. This letter is the historical heartbeat of all White Americans today. I could only imagine how White Americans feels when they think about the documents, which is the cornerstone of their civilization, power and sovereignty on this continent. Having said this let me turn my attention to Black Americans who are descendents of slaves. My first question would be to all Black Americans, do we have such inspiring documents that we could rally around as well. Please! Do not be so ignorant to tell me that inclusive in President Washington’s letter is Black Americans. Let me tell you something about the letter that is unseen or intangible. White people get a spiritual feeling, not a religious feeling, but a spiritual feeling that is indescribable that is bigger than life itself. It is a feeling that God do not give you; you must acquire and achieve this special feeling your self and when you get it, you will know that you have it. It is a feeling that nothing could hold you back. It is a feeling that prevents you from whining and complaining as all Black Americans do. Only sovereign countries and people possess this feeling. One of the things inherent in this feeling is that White America does not have anything that belongs to any people outside of their Caucasian race. For instance, their religion (Christianity) is theirs. They created this religion for themselves and there is nothing wrong with that. Unlike Black Americans, we have their religion and it is because Black Americans belongs to White American people. In other words, Black Americans does not have anything yet that would illuminate this spiritual and intangible feeling that all White American people presently have. Being rich or educated does not mean you have this feeling. You must be free and your conscience must know that you are free in order that you could feel this feeling. When Black Americans are free, you will no longer be whining and complaining. Do any of you understand what I am saying? You, Black Americans have no idea what I am saying since you have no imagination what sovereignty or complete independence means. I will tell you this to begin with, sovereignty means bearing enormous responsibilities that is heavier than life itself, but it has twice its reward as its burdens. So, tell me what you think that this letter would mean to a young White boy. Tell me what you think.
