An Alabama A&M Bulldog and a Florida A&M Rattler unite in love. Gabriel Sheffield, spring 2007 Alabama A&M University graduate, proposes to Jasmine Harris, fall 2007 Florida A&M University graduate, in the pages of Essence magazine. With a heartfelt letter to Essence Magazine, Gabriel was entered into the Essence Will You Marry Me contest for 2010. He then proposed in front of the cameras to Jasmine in Destin, FL and of course she said yes! The magazine will hit stands in January, and the proposal will be on essence.com starting January 4th. Gabriel and Jasmine are soliciting the help of all HBCUs to vote for them on essence.com for their chance to win a dream wedding!
