FAMU or Alabama State University???
|
Posted By: Shay Jones on August 04, 2005 here's the thing.i have planned on going to fam for like 5 months.i started getting everything together, all paperwork was done, housing was set, went to orientation, and i was on my way to the hill.but out of no where alabama state offers me an academic scholarship..(basically a free ride).i don't know anybody in alabama!my major is pharmacy and everybody know famu is where it's at for pharmacy majors.but it's free to go to alabama...but they don't have pharmacy specifically as a major.i was faced with such a hard decision.sure, people were sayin "take the free ride" but i said what's the point of going to a school where they don't have your major?i figure,if i want to be the best pharmacist,i might as well go to the best pharmacy program....still,it's free to go to alabama.and for personal reasons, transferring was not an option.well anyway, time was runnin out,so i had to make a decision.it was hard.my hair was fallin out and all.but when it came down to it,man i chose to be a rattler.but i still wanna know, what would yall have did? In my opinion, I believe that I would have went to Fam as well. Although, its possible that you might change your mind on the major tip, you still probably would have been wondering, what if. So, I think yo made a wonderful decision. Blessings on all your future endeavors.
