Church

Church

Do you believe that a person is not as religious because he/she goes to the club but still go to church. Most peolpe think that you have to choose one or the other...what if you pick both? Is that wrong?

I don't. I am a religious person, baptist to be exact, and I still go out and have fun. It's all about how you handle yourself when you're out. Are you obeying God's will? That's the question you should ask yourself.

You know that's a good question? I agree with the girls in a way, but it's basically like being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I mean my elder would say, "If Jesus came back and you was at the club, what do you think would happen? Would you say you were saving them from damnation, LOL, or setting the captives free?" I honestly think it's cool to have fun, you got to. But when you walk in, how does your spirit feel? Do you feel knida out of place? I think you have an answer to your own question and you've got to listen to it. No matter what we think? What do you think?

I am religious but I very rarely go to church. I go maybe once every 2-3 weeks. God accepts us for who we are and as long as we recognize his presence and live by his word, what difference does it make where you were Saturday night? God is everywhere........even in the club. Not going to church religiously doesnt make me believe in God any less and neither should your going to a club. I dont think its wrong because everybody has different ways of living their lives.

I agree with them too. I go to the clubs, did the street life, fast life, etc., and be in church almost every Sunday, so it you can live both but understand its all about knowing who you are. From my experience, bein from dis Dirty South, country boyz don't play so if you got God on your side, you a step ahead, even if you aint da serious religous type, so live it up but remember your blessings and you'll succeed. $Crazy$

I am a minister and I would have to agree and disagree with the whole going to the club thing. Let me first say that it's not about a religion, but a relationship with GOD now a religion says it's okay to go the club, but a relationship will ask the question "Will GOD be glorified and my spirit edified at the club?" I mean it;s up to you if you want to go out by all means do waht you do, but Christians are extraordinary people. We can't do things that the world does, we are suppose to be called out from the world, living holy and acceptable lives for GOD. 2 Chorinthians 5:17 says if anyone be in Christ it is a new creature old things pass away behold ALL things become new. We are suppose to be sanctified- set apart. It all depends on your relationship with GOD, my relationship says NO but your may say it's okay.

Deep question, just ask. Jer 33:3.
I did do both for years due to my own reasons.
Not saying that was right either.
Great answer Vince, I used to answer like some of the other answers here respectfully also.
