Posted By: James Harris on February 22, 2010 For years the media has displayed negative images of African Americans in every possible way. After slavery there where Minstrel shows. In today's media, there is a vast amount of negative coverage on news and other media outlets. It seems Black Males and Females can't escape harsh stereotypes and negative depictions, so i ask the question, what is B.E.T doing about it? Is it giving out negative information about blacks or is it providing adequate and balanced programs that aid African Americans. Im doing a Study about Black Entertainment Television to answer these questions and i need a few (Many, A Whole Bunch, El Grande) brave souls to fill out a survey that concerns B.E.T.
