"Envy of the World"

If black men are truly the envy of the world, when will they stop being jealous of one another and loving themselves? Does the lack of self-love contribute to the breakdown of the black community?

I can only speak for myself and my friends. I think it is when they realize its more to life than smoking weed, becoming a famous rap artist and chilling with white girls. I don't have anything against white girls or any race. But its alot of people that I know just waiting, wasting time hating on another brother because he has a nice car that he worked legally for. I ain't putting down anyone cause I use to do my thing. I just figured out one day that its more to life than that. Also as hard as it is I learn that I have love myself and others even when I thought no one cared for me. I figured that I can only go as far as I want to if I am willing to work. If your trying to take the easy road all the time things aren't always going to work out. And as far as the community, Black men are steriotyped and they know it cause they hear it alot. But instead of over coming the negative they feed into it.

with the way black society is these days, i can only see things getting worse. Black people especially black men have become the new KKK. We are the only ones who can control our future and the were the ones causing our own destruction. Every guy is out trying to prove is manhood in violent and reckless ways to the point it's like we're barbarians. Rappers work hard to make it out the hood only to glorify it in there music. I'm not from the hood, i live in a middle class suburb and i remember getting disrepsected becuz of that. When someone of our own race makes to a higher standing in society it's like we try to bring them back down and we bring ourselves down with it. Black men truly our the envy of the world. (i have that book but i've yet to read it) Men all over the world try to be like us. They imitate the way we talk, the way we dress, the way we walk. They wish they could have women nearly as beautiful as black women. Black men everywhere need to acknowledge that and use it to our advantage. 4rea we need a strong, smart leader like Malcolm X or Huey Newton to guide some of those to blind to realize how lucky they are to be black. We need someone to help uplift and enlighten black men and make them change their ways to help better the black race.
