I've learned that most of us do a better job at choosing our cars, schools, majors, and careers than our mates. A lot of us are strictly judging only by a persons looks and the things (s)he has. But, I have to be honest- good looks and nice things do NOT do much of a job at making a relationship work. Now, most people would say they want a mate who is smart, confident, likes to have fun, intelligent, good looking and keeps it real, but what person out there doesnt believe they fit this criteria?? We have to be more specific in what we look for in a mate. Also, people should not look for a mate in hopes that that person will make them happy. why place such a burden on him or her- it is not the job of your mate to make you happy, you can only make yourself happy!
