Posted By: Hope Coleman on August 10, 2005 I can honestly say when I read KeKe's Blog about her mother and everyone who responded, I could have cried my eyes out. A little over a year ago, I lost the only sibling I had- my brother who was at the time 23 in a truck driving accident. I also remember it like it was yesterday- about 2 in the mornin on Nov. 18, I woke up to screams of my mom down stairs. When I got down there, I saw a state tropper who broke the news to me with tears in HIS eyes. I honestly do not remember what went through my head, but I know it felt like my heart and soul was rip from me and replaced with something so unbearable I could stand. Its been over a year and I still have my good and bad days. But, recently I have been having dreams about losing my mother and being left alone. I wake up in tears when I have those dreams, I can not imagine losing someone as my mother. Every time she leaves, I pray I will see her again. When my brother died, I lost the only male figure in my life, my homie, my biggest supporter and fan and wanted to quit so everything. things werent so important to me, but when I think about how fragile a life is- even my own mothers, its something I feel like will break me down. the scarry thing is it's always being just the three of us and now, sooner or later someone will have to stand on their own.
