WOW! Haven't been on here in a LONGGGG time!

Posted By: Ammina Reed on May 15, 2010 I haven't been on here in a VERY LONG TIME! Anyways, its me, Mina. Howard didn't go well. At all! I had a VERY HARD time staying focused with the parties & everything going on. If I would've stayed @ Howard and did what I was supposed to do, RIGHT now I would be a junior. Being a freshman @ Howard was the BEST YEAR of my life, it IS cliche, but there is NOTHING like an HBCU. I sincerly miss all the friends I've made, I've danced in the Resfest competition (M-Dot U KNOW!), late nights sneaking into Meridian, && oh yesss the night Obama won the election all of the Meridian dorm ran 10 blocks to campus to party on the Yard with everyone. That was the most memorable moment at my time in Howard!!!! I wish I could return, however I'm currently in a situation where I am forced to stay in my home town (financial situation & a bunch of other crap.) I've decided to take a year off from school and participate in City Year ( a program that mentors & tutors school-age children) go to community college part-time, improve my GPA, and transfer into a small catholic university called Neumann. That's what I need. Small classes, no parties, just straight BORINESS (LOL!) So I can study & do what I'm supposed to do. I want to be a physician's assistant. Howard DOES have a physician assistant program, however it is a Bachelor program, which means it is more fast-paced. I'm choosing to get an undergrad degree, and get a master in physician assistant. Take this college thing slowwww. I've already wasted two years however I don't plan on GIVING UP! I will not drop out! Though my HBCU experience is over, I will still be a college student.
