If after a few dates and phone calls, if you aren't interested it's OK to say "you're not interested, or you're looking for something else, or you want to date other guys. Some of us really can handle it. I agree with Markeith - Take it slow BEFORE you get TOO DEEPLY INVOLVED. I am not bitter about past relationships that went bad, and I take full responsibility for MY part, and I no longer think every one I meet is just like the last one. Black people we MUST keep trying until we find each other because the most powerful force in the universe is BLACK PEOPLE RESPECTING AND LOVING THEMSELVES AND EACH OTHER!!! Clifford sykes Lincoln University -Missouri class of 1969 Right On GT, It's like this; Two of my very best friends had PROFOUND effects on me. When friend # 1 introduced me to his wife, he introduced her as "MY LIFE PARTNER" - not his woman, his "old girl" his "old lady" or his wife - HIS LIFE PARTNER!! One evening friend # 2 and his wife got into a loud screaming, in each other's face type fight. Later while my friend & I was going to the store, he said to me "My brother, on our WORST day, we're still the best of friends" Those two incidents just knocked me out and I realized that I had to Re think a LOT of things and that I had a LOT of work to do (work to do - Isley Brothers) - Now of course when we're together we "appreciate" looking at a beautiful sister, but I have NEVER seen or heard either of these brothers disrespect their families in ANY way! Ricardo Rada Listen Shamika, I am going thru something similar, I just broke up with the girl I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. It's kinda complicated, but what i think that you've gotta understand is that you can not try to put a person in the center of your life (sorry if my English is not good enough..), you can not try to be fulfilled by human love as we all tend to fail, I see that you believe in God, so I think that all that should be first in your life, and give you enough hope to let the guys pass by until someone really special comes, but until then take it easy... peace Wednesday, June 2nd 2010 at 4:30AM
