A story to share...

Its easier to look at the down side of situations and circumstances you go through. But, doing all that negative thinking well thats the harder job. Now I can say with everything that happens in my life or around it. I always look at the positive side. I came across this article in my inbox about a week ago. And the title of it was called Choices. I opened it to find one of the most motivating story poem ever:

It was about a man named John, always in a good mood, always had something positive to say. When he was asked how he was doing he'd always say "If I were any better, I would be twins!" The poet referred to him as a natural motivator. If a employee was having a bad day, he tell them the positive side of their situation.

The poet begins to explain how seeing this made them curious to know if John... was really always that happy and positive. so one day they call up to John and say, "I don't get it! You can't be a positive person all the time. How do you do it.?"

He replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or... you can choose to be in a bad mood. I choose to be in a good mood. Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or... I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it. Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or... I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life..

The poet didn't believe that and protested saying, "Yeah, right it's not that easy."

The story becomes powerful here on down.
John said, "Yes, it is... Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people affect your mood. You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: Its your choice how you live your life."

The poet begins to talk about how they took in all John had said to them. Left the Tower Industry and starting their own business. Keeping that positive mind set.

Even when things are going bad, there's always a positive side to it. Years later the poet hears about how John was involved in a serious accident, falling 60 feet from a communications tower. About 18 hours after the surgery and weeks of intensive care, he was released from the hospital with rods placed in his back. The poet seen him 6 months later. They asked him how was he doing...

John replied ,"If I were any better I'd be twins... Wanna see my scars?"

The poet declined his offer of seeing the wounds, then asked him what had gone through his mind as the accident took place. He response was:

"The first thing that went through my mind was the well-being of my soon-to-be born daughter. Then, as I lay on the ground, I remembered that I had two choices : I could chose to live or... I could choose to die. I chose to live."

the poet asked, "Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?"

John continued, "... The paramedics were great. The kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the ER and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes I read 'he's a dead man.' I knew I needed to take action... Well there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me. She asked if I was allergic to anything. 'Yes, I replied.' The doctors and nursed stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breathe and yelled 'Gravity.' Over their laughter, I told them, 'I am choosing to live.. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead. '
John lived, thanks to the skills of his doctors and also because of his amazing attitude.

I shared this story because, attitude , after all, is everything.
Matthew 6:34 says "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about it self. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Im not sure who this story will touch.. or if it'll touch anyone. I just felt the need to share it. It changed my attitude, and I'm a stronger and God fearing woman then I've ever been before. And with that positive too.

Thank You, God Bless.
Stay real, Stay fly, Stay you.
xoxo
