Leaving is bittersweet!

Posted By: Tiffany Wells on August 12, 2005 I have been waiting to leave to go to skool ever since my senior year started. Now that I leave in just a day.....its seems so weird like it crept up on me. The part that is gonna kill me the most is leaving my mom. I mean Im a daddy's girl all the way but over the year, me n' my mom have grown close n' @ times it feels like Im her only friend. Im her youngest n' only girl and I feel so bad that Im leaving her cuz I can see the hurt in her eyes everytime I do some packing. She says she is happy for me n' she wants me to be happy n' I know she means it wit all her heart but I know that its killin her inside that Im goin far away! She crys all the time! I hate to see her like this! What should I do....even tho I know there's really nothin I can do! well , there is really nothing you can do. All you can do is just spend the most time with her until you have to go. My mother say's that she will not break down but just the other night at around 3 a.m. she came into my room crying saying how she was going to miss me. It will be hard on both of our mother's because one - you're your mothers only daughter and two- im my mother's only child so she has no one else to look after.Granted it will be hard to leave your mom but it's all for the good, and this is what I have come to realize. My mother will be sad but there will always be the phone calls, holiday vaca's and many more to look forward to. So keep your head up and don't be sad lol. hope you like my words of encouragment. ...PeaCe , The chick Saffiyah.

She not cryin only because she knows you're leavin, she's also cryin because she knows that she suceeded raising u as her child, you're growin up and to her it was like yesterday that this and that happened (dont wanna get 2 personal). She knows that you're going to see and experience the next step of life and now that she's not there, she hopes that you're decisions reflect on what she's taught u. Only her prayers are with u instead of her physically. But the more u have fun the more she'll loosen up, the better your grades the happier she'll be. But she'll eventually get over it.
