Posted By: Shamika Edwards on June 12, 2010 i was watching tv the other night where this group of females got into a fight with a girl . the results.. the one girl ended up with her brains blown out and scattered onto her seven year old sons leg a guy thats so worthless and sad that he thinks its cool to sleep with two at one time .. a guy thats so grimmy and gritty that he doesn't even care that your about to do time he's just worried about finding a new boo. wow i'll be the first to admit that i struggle with the weakness men have over me .. but i can proudly say i never and never will fight over a boy. why should i ? if you tellin me you love me then i shouldn't have to fight for it . i shouldn't have to get my head blown off . i shouldn't have to question it. that was the saddest thing i ever saw . and of course none of them had plans on killing anyone .. especially the innoncent . bet they all thought it was cool .. going to end like any other fight . probably laughed and talked about what they were going to do to each other ..carelessly wow sad i mean what is this saying about us ...'WE' as a people If you enjoyed this article, Join HBCU CONNECT today for similar content and opportunities via email! |

I hear what you're saying sister. Today, we are just as bad as the men, fighting one other over a man who likely doesn't give a damn about us. That's not gonna change nothing with our "wisdom". At lot of our sisters have low self esteem, and we have this "one-upsman" need, to satisfy our own egos. If we were busy focusing on loving our NATURAL beauty and not solely focus on the idea that we need a man to make us feel good, we'd not allow ourselves to get so caught up. We just get caught up in drama. Yes, on the other side of our wanting to impress our friends, is our being socialized to act like them. We have all fallen for it.
