The Comments on the View 06/22/2010

He changed his name several years ago to Middle Passage in order to manifest his inward outrage over the Africa to America journey under the Atlantic Slave Trade. When my wife turned on the view with D. L. Hughley acting as Moderator with the regular co-hosts inclusive of another gentleman when the topic came forth talking about aids and "downlow" in the Blackamerican Community. My problem with the discussion was simple, the lack of knowledge concerning the spread of aids in our Community, and how limited most shows like the View really are with real information to give to their hosts. For example, they had time to dialogue about the role of dirty needles and how our own indignation and morals as people of color assisted the Reagan adminstration to do their War on Drugs, interpreted, locking up Blackamerican men and women who continued to use diry needles in jails and when they released they were never tested for aids; no discussion how our morals caused us to outwardly manifests to those who were victims to make them more than victims to the point one of the National Church Conventions took nearly 25-years before they spoke. Yes, many young Blackamerican females are number one victims, but all are not the victims of the "down-low." but we must learn and know how to keep our people truly informed, truth to power!
