In fact Ellen, would you be interested in lending a hand to house homeless veterans in the two homes that we have? Up to 55 could be housed if we had funding to support them in their daily care. We are preparing grant material to seek funding from sources such as Department of veterans Affairs (www.dva.gov). Media outlets are very important in getting notice of our homes out to the community. Hi Bill, I lived in Toulminville near Gorgas Park. Also, in Prichard next to Blount high School. I am a big history buff and very familiar The Battle of New Orleans. Do you know that Slaves were sold on the site that is now Alabama Power which is downtown near Bender's Shipyard? Did you also know that Mobile was the last official site were shipped in port.
