Hard Time

Posted By: Tinal Sankey on July 17, 2010 UGH!!!! I'm having a really hard time right now. Its almost a month before school starts and my father tells me that he is not going to help me pay for school. Im only going to be a sophomore and i did what I was asked to do if I wanted to continue going to the GREAT Bethune-Cookman University. I maintained a 3.5 gpa and stayed out of trouble, now my heart is hurting beacuse I have no idea if I will be able to continue attending my dream school. For many people they would not understand why there is no other school for me but the truth is, since I was about 5 years old I told my mother that this was my school. I have succeeded and I am trying to become a better person, but I would think that my father would support me this one time. That is all i am asking for is support. No, i am not the perfect daughter, but im not as bad as i could be i stay out of trouble and do what i am asked but you act like i am just that bad. Yes, i have applied for many scholarships and grants but as he knows his income makes it so that i am not eligible to get this benefits. I have started to look into something that I was really against....Going into the military, i dont want to but if i want to keep my sanity i have to get out of here. Im still praying to God that something will come through but everyday the devil keeps making it harder for me to stay positive. So keep me in your prayers because the plan God has for me are much greater than my own.
