It has been awhile since I strolled the campus grounds with a Gap backpack, more books in my hands and conversation for days. I relied on a few scholarships, GI Bill, and a handful of student loans to get me from one semester to the next. That was then and I wonder if much has changed now?
I'm certain the financial requirements around paying for college are a very important part of the equation - especially in this economy. Just yesterday, sitting at a cookout, a friend spoke of a friends sons educational dream being held hostage to his high school transcript. The school will not release them until his parents are paid up.
A problem since neither of them are working (right now).
