Please assist us in finding an extra-ordinary young woman who wishes to give a profound and life changing gift to this remarkable couple through donating eggs. This couple loves children and would make great parents. In addition to the young people from their own family and numerous godchildren that they have taken under their wing, both of them singly and collectively spend personal time with the young people of their church and community. They have warm and longstanding relationships with many of the families at their church and regularly host families with children at their summer “cottage” for sailing, biking, tennis, golf, tubing, hiking and kayaking. They are also sponsors for several college students and freely give their time to mentor young professionals. They are well educated (she has a PhD and he has a MBA) and they are financially secure to raise a child/children of their own. The recipient (prospective mother) is involved in a number of social and political activities and youth advocacy work. Her current passion is working to change the juvenile justice system from a punitive institution to one that focuses on rehabilitation and treatment. She is particularly invested in changing the negative impact of courts and corrections on young people of color. She is also involved in political activities such as stopping the Darfur genocide and is a member of a national the women's peace movement. The husband is an investor; stocks, bonds, real estate and venture capital. He is an advocate for environmentally conscious and sustainable business practices. He is involved with several nationally known organizations that focus on clean energy technologies, sustainable business practices, social responsibility and corporate ethics as well as economic development in third world countries particularly Tanzania and Brasil.
