How Black people are still being bamboozled!

How Black people are still being bamboozled!
Posted By: Franklin Jones on September 15, 2010

Despite a brutally racist history to the contrary today the white race is most often now perceived as being the race of the highest moral character, while Blacks are now perceived as being their own worst enemies. Many African Americans now holds the opinion that in the face of greater gained opportunities and lessening of racial discrimination that their main problems as a race became themselves. The belief that Blacks are now themselves their own worst enemies is now commonly held by many African Americans —they that considers themselves as being exceptions to this rule.
But are these demoralizing self perceptions among so many African American correct? And if so how have such negative behaviors come to replace the unrivaled racial pride, unity and cohesion, and ambitious perseverance that were once so undeniably a part of early Black American identity? How have African Americans--the racial group that demonstrated an unprecedented degree of racial pride and unity during the 1960's civil rights movement and fought so diligently against America’s previous blatant system of institutional racism now become living contradictions of their former selves?
Did these favorable collective racial traits among African Americans merely disintegrate when integration and other subsequent opportunities became available? When presented with these daunting questions the common response has always been to take the position that the core problem lies totally with something to do with Black people themselves. But is this convenient answer correct? Although tragically many Blacks themselves have come to accept this perspective, the emerging evidence does not support the view that the persistent disparities among African American are the result of any purportedly unequal, innate human capacities or innate proclivity for divisiveness among of the Black race. Such premises are racist and totally inconsistent with the history of African Americans. The remarkable degree of unity demonstrated among African Americans during the 1960's civil right movement more than makes this point. It was made evident by the brilliant organization and mobilizations of mass bus boycotts, marches, freedom riders, and sit ins that were peacefully conducted through the unified protest of civil disobedience. The degree of unity and organization demonstrated among African Americans then was extraordinary and arguably remains unrivaled by any other group in the history of America. The prevailing negative self perceptions, now commonly held, among so many African Americans are not consistent with the history of African Americans. This self contemptuous problem is contemporary ones that appeared only after integration and the abolishment of Jim Crow legalized racism. So what then is the reason for this national phenomenon of self contempt now commonly held among so many African Americans? The problem is actually the deliberate result of a modern racist system that is now being used against all African Americans.
Today the illusion of opportunity and change has been so firmly established upon the national consciousness that to suggest that the noted problems among Black America are now the results of White racism has become almost laughable—especially in light of the fact that America has now elected its first African American president. Nonetheless, African Americans unknowingly remain the ongoing victims of histories most sophisticated and detrimentally proficient racist system ever to be developed.
Although today most African Americans do not experience racism the way their parents experienced it, they do however, still experience white racism. The decline of the blatant, overt racist systems used in the past to defend America’s position of white dominance against its Black population coincided with the introduction of a more sophisticated, and covert method. The United States media’s distorted portrayal of Black America that amplifies the negative to the point that it distorts reality is more than just biased media reports. They function as media manipulation/ psychosocial programs. Its constant deplorable depiction of African Americans is being done to perpetuate and frames the myth of Whites’ racial, moral, intellectual and ethical superiority. It is a covert program that disseminates false deplorably racially devaluing statistics and propaganda about its Black population that are deliberately designed to adversely manipulate and shape the minds and collective consciousness of its African American population. This psychosocial program uses propaganda and misinformation to manipulate and control the perceptions- and therefore behaviors-of African Americans. Its negative depictions of African Americans is carefully and deliberately designed to breakdown their sense of racial unity and cohesion, mold the character of self-hatred, engender self-doubt, self-loathing, and distrust among their group --while implying that they admire, respect, and trust only Whites. This program conditions Black people to accept white dominance over their lives by subjecting them to seeing only the fraudulent worst in themselves-- therefore misleading them to believe that they are now themselves their own worst enemies.
Furthermore it totally detaches African Americans from their sense of power and perpetuates the message that they need whites to govern over their lives.

Therefore fostering a national setting of where in which its Black population is more easily divided, exploited and ultimately suppressed.
This covert program was implemented to defend and maintain the U.S. white dominance because the blatant methods used in the past, to meet this objective, had become socially unacceptable. It was developed and implemented by America’s true ruling white elites--they that maintain their positions of power and prestige regardless of who’s actually President. From their established positions of power, prominent white governmental elites monopolizes all given information deliberately disseminating only those that implies their white superiority over its Black population. Its Black population’s collective negative perceptions of their race are, for the most part, responsively formed by these given negative statistics and depictions. The motto of this method of psychological manipulation is to divide and conquer and it works by affecting the unconscious mind through deception. It uses the psychology of deceit to adversely affect the recipient group in terms of their behavior. Today African Americans are being made to see themselves through lenses that have been deliberately assigned to them by white mass media manipulation experts. This manipulation process merges the often harsh individual reality of many black people with what is deplorably depicted of them in the media therefore solidifying the thoughts within their psyche that it is they that are now their own worst enemies. Blacks own negative interactions with their fellow blacks merely then act as a confirmation of what is deplorably depicted about them.
This covert and sophisticated method of control works by using the science of psychology. It prevails by affecting the unconscious mind through deception. Its weapon is the message that it carries and the way that it adversely affects the targeted recipient group in terms of their behavior. The main efforts of this psychological warfare against African Americans is to change their perception of reality to such an extent that despite the abundance of information no one is able to come to a sensible conclusion in the interest of defending themselves, their families and their communities. To the detriment of many African Americans, this applied demoralization process has been extremely effective. It has successfully conditioned many African Americans to not only accept white dominance over their lives, but in some cases to prefer it.
This manipulation process is not distant and impersonal; it reaches into the homes of every African American, working its will during nearly every waking hour. All African Americans have experienced the burden of this manipulation process, some more severely than others have. It is experienced every time a Black person read a newspaper, watches the evening news, and listens to derogatory radio broadcast about them. Most fail to realize that they are being mass manipulated and instead falls victims to the misinformation about themselves. [Blacks own negative personal interactions within their group merely then reinforce it within their minds that the propaganda is true] This demoralizing program is the power that shapes and molds the mind and perceptions of virtually every Black citizen, young or old, rich or poor, simple or sophisticated, unknown or famous.
The demoralization process of African Americans has been over fulfilled. It has been such a success that now much of the demoralizing is being done by African Americans to themselves. Many African Americans literally develop a self contemptuous “anti Black” frame of thought that collectively attributes to Black disunity at a time when they need unity; it distracts them from solving real problems; increases self loathing at a time when the need to come together to face the complicity in their condition. It prevents the African-American community from forging the alliances within it needed to bring about real change.
To the detriment of many African Americans this applied psychological conditioning program has been extremely effective. It has engendered within the psyche of many African Americans profound feelings of internalized self contempt that pulverizes Black unity and halts Black upward mobility. It also totally detaches African Americans’ from their sense of power and reality.
And while many African Americans have successfully navigated through this psychologically mortifying mine field and have gone on to lead successful, productive lives, for far too many this immense devaluation can seem inescapable and tragically, over time, many begin to accept subconsciously and painfully the negative portrayals of themselves. Many also become discouraged by the acceptance that their society is also preconditioned to see the worst in them and that, therefore, if they were ever to gain acceptance, if it is to be won at all, that success would be hard won. This in turn manifests negative internalized psychological pain and distress within many African Americans that can take many forms. In fact, this mortifying psychosocial program is so fundamentally detrimental to the Black human condition and psyche that it may even affect the extent to which many African Americans realize their full human potential.
