Yesterday's Church Services

Posted By: on August 22, 2005 So I went to church yesterday, and yall, service was more than wonderful. There was this guy that I worked with who had gay tendencies, and he invited me to the church. They were doing personal testimonies yesterday and do you know he got up there and in front of the church he let us know that the Lord relieved him of that spirit of homosexuality!!! I was so happy for him b/c he was struggling with it...he had a girlfriend and you could tell he didn't want to be gay, and the Lord delivered him!!! Church service was so wonderful!!! There was a Brazilian missionary in attendance and he brought forth the word...boy was it powerful. So he then proceeded to tell us to pray and do you know I prayed like never before. Then tears just started flowing down my face and before I knew it, the holy ghost took over my body and I began crying and shaking uncontrollably and just praising Him like never before. Then a woman hugged me and started praying for me and just crying and thanking God for me...I left church feeling refreshed and renewed like never before. Y'all, when I walked out that door, I knew that something had moved in me that I can't even explain. I came home and I wanted to sing praises, I wanted to pray, I wanted to read His word and I just wanted to give Him glory. Needless to say, next Sunday I will be right back in that church lifting my praises again!!! The funny part was that while all of the adults in the church were praising and crying, my little knuckle headed son was sitting there singing the cry baby song extremely loud!!! I just got him quiet and then after church I tried to explain to him why people were crying...he then apologized for saying cry baby and gave me a hug!!!! How sweet he can be!!! I'm glad that your son has learned a valuable lesson here. I'm also glad that you felt renewed and refreshed! I read your previous blogs, and you've been going through a lot lately.
