What Is The Question: Terrorists, Terrorists Within Islam, All Islam? AH! That's Where Dialogue Breaks Down

Youtube.comwww.youtube.comatimetospeakattorneycharlesmorgan. This video recalls the time when American human rights were abridged. Many were targets of hatred, being innocent just because of the color their skin. The video above is still sobering to me because, it was such a sad, perplexing distressing time in the American fabric of society.

The video above I may have not posted it correctly. If it does not work paste in your browser: www.youtube.com a time to speak attorney charles morgan birmingham 16th street baptist church bombing. 4 young little black girls were killed, lives lost as they were going over their Sunday School lessons. And I have often wondered if, when those filled with hate bent on persecuting others to the point of taking their lives, if they were learning just the opposite-"thou shalt not kill". It's a sobering thought. But troubling if the lesson wasn't grasped and retained in memory.

But it's also one I am not sure has fully resonated with the generations that have come since that tragic Sunday morning in September 1963. I was in my senior year of high school, tending to the little neigborhood gocery store ("a mom and pop), my mother use to own-run, right next to the barbershop I had worked in as a "shoe shine boy" the last several years to help bring income to feed the 12 family members,as we strruggled to live decently-to escape the throes of poverty, hunger being almost destitute in Montgomery, Alabama.

Listening to the radio while reading a Bible, the programming was interrupted again with yet another senseless and tragic Birmingham bombing that had taken four more innocent little black girls's lives. You see, this was not the first time little girls had been killed by evil-thinking whites who set out to kill with bombs, their weapons of choice, the innocent 'colored' man because "he should be dead" or "sent back to Afica"! Mantras repeated over and over, as I had the mindset (Polyanna operating BIG time) to finish "this last year of high school and then to prepare to make this a better (it's so complex) world-family first, then this country! After finishing with colege.
Those were exactly my thoughtsI naievely held as I planned to have a successful senior year high school and then college, even though I did not have the faintest idea where college money would come from. But I was going to do this, despite my odds!

And both the barbershop, my mother's store were on Oak Street, that famous Civil Rights Trail -Nationally recognized. You may recall Oak street is the thoroughfare along which Martin Luther King led the Selma-to-Montgomery Marchers as they neared the State capitol a few blocks away, terminating their Selma-to downtown Montgomery trek, ending up on famed Dexter Avenue at the Capitol's steps. Dr.

King's famous 'Dexter Avenue Baptist Church' a National Civil rights Memorial is only a block or two away from the Capitol, as Dr. King spoke to this defiant Governor-about many civil rights issues of the day.
So, growing up on Oak Street ( My Ucle's Bell Street church a few blocks north from us had been bombed after Rosa Parks' arrest) was much more than the 'street I grew up on'. It was a breeding ground for the love and respect of human values I treasure and have lived by my almost 65 yearsby as a code of respect and honor for my fellowman, as espoused by my minister father and mother to their children all their lives and so did Dr. King Until that bullet ripped through his neck, taking from us one of the most ardent supporters of human rights, arguably, decent human beings of our century.

If you would like to read about more turbulent racial events regarding racial upheavals turbulent, tumultuous events that also occurred in 1963, including the seregationist 'Now-Forever' Governor- George Wallace )dec'd) of Alabama, he was at that time (but later recanted), follow the histoy I am referring to. Go to www.history.orb and click on the year 1963 , or any other year, for that matter.

Only then, will you be able to put the topic in better perspective. But you will see why I felt compelled to challenge Whoopi Goldberg, Joy of "The View", Bill O" Reilly of Fox News channel's "The Factor" to try and 'fix' their last interview, which galvanized so much media attention until as, Barbara Walters nobly, tried Feebly, "This should not have happened..."

The 'stidking point, and I hope it sticks hard and fast: All white people did not go around throwing bombs(many white sympathizers also perished),some in a more cruel way) leveling churches with little black children in them studying about the "Golden Rule, treating as they want to be treated; in likewise, all Islam does not hate America. Mr. O'Reilly espouses that-I'VE HEARD SAY READ THAT TOO MANY TIMES! AND NOW, I hope dear Reader, this 'The View' Discussion looms a bit more civil And clearer. Both the 'Factor' Host and the 'View's' Hosts are aware of what woud be desirable-in my mind, at least the young people. And lest we forget, bombs were flying to bring harm to those of a dfferent racial strain, in Alabama, in America, but a man with dignity, style, class, tolerance, "Respect For All God's Children" kept assuring us, "We shall Overcome". I thought we had(???)

Let's not forget: Those turulent times of 1963 were not, too 'Terribly' long ago...
