SUNO's Lady Knights break school record in win over Concordia-Selma

Posted By: Eddie Francis on November 19, 2010 Selma, Ala. - The SUNO Lady Knights opened the 2010-2011 season by breaking a record. Taking on Concordia College-Selma on November 13th, SUNO (1-0) started the year off with a commanding 62-22 victory over the Lady Hornets in Selma. The Lady Knights broke SUNO's record for least points allowed in a game. SUNO got off to a 25-2 run to start the game, and never looked back. Junior forward Christine Conner took control with a double double performance. Conner led the Lady Knights with 13 points and 12 rebounds on the evening. Freshman guard Lydia Ross also scored in double digits with 10 points. She also led in assists with 6 and steals with 4. SUNO's home opener is Tuesday, November 16th against Selma University at 6 p.m. The week promises to be a full one as they will travel to Alabama to take on Judson College on Thursday the 18th, and return to New Orleans to host Philander Smith on Friday the 19th.
