Are You Celebrating Kwanzaa?

Posted By: Juanita Douglas on December 28, 2010 Habari Gani, In 1988 my family made the decision to incorporate the principles of Kwanzaa into our home. As my son and his friends grew up we would light the Kinara each night and reflect on the principles. We also attended a variety of community and church events for Kwanzaa. We still are very commited to preserving our unique African American culture and I want to know if any of you are celebrating Kwanzaa in your homes? BTW a 2009 documentary "The Black Candle" is a wonderful explanation of Kwanzaa that I shared with people this year.
