That Damn Hurricane....
|
Posted By: Lindsey Farlough on September 05, 2005 Ya'll that hurricane was no joke. I am from there and my family has been hit hard. My mother, grandparents, aunts and uncles are homeless and have to relocate. I feel lucky that I am here but at the same time I feel a drive to go home and help. But because of school I can't. My family i literally being scattered across the nation. My mother has to move to Austin, my sister has to move to Las Vegas, my grandparents are in Donaldsonville. Ya'll it is a depressing mess. I am cool though, I can't do anything but be strong and trust in God that some good will come of this. If ya'll see a place to donate, donate. Even if it's just some change anything will help. Keep me, my family, and the other victims in your prayers. If you enjoyed this article, Join HBCU CONNECT today for similar content and opportunities via email! |
