Think People: Is There a Hidden Meaning???

Posted By: Sharelle Johnson on September 05, 2005

I was just sittin home watchin da news, (INSTEAD OF BEING @ THE LABOR DAY PARADE!!!) And heard the reporter saw that New Orleans hasn't experience damage like this since Hurricane Camile. Then I was thinking that NO gets Hurricanes a lot every year, that's why know one thought it was a big deal. But then I got to thinking that Camile must have been a bad bytch to be compare to Katrina.

Do you see a pattern?
Why does the black hurricane have to be the most notorious? Why does it have to be black women? Come on, we all know someone named Camile and/or Katrina? Is there a hidden message with their names? Society already has negative views of black women, calling us LOUD, SELFISH, RUDE, ANGRY & AGRESSIVE a and the way we are portrayed in rap videos, we can only make a living by becoming a "video hoe" calling it modeling! Please give me a break!!! They need to foucs on more intelligent blk women that success requires a degree.... okay I'm getting on da topic, but give me youe opinions,
IS THERE A UNDERLINE REASON THAT THESE HURRICANES NAMES WERE THOSE OF A BLACK WOMEN, OR
AM I READING INTO THIS TOO MUCH???

There's a certain method they use to choosing the names of the hurricanes. So the name and the disasterous affect don't necessarily have a correlation.

What we can come out with is that racism in America definitely exists and Hurricane Katrina was a shot in the face reminding us about it.

We need to find some black organizations and donate supplies to them for these victims
