Posted By: Abe Morris on February 13, 2011 I could go and on about some of the unscrupulous shenanigans that were pulled off by my ex-wife during and after our divorce case. I could also go on and on about some of the ridiculous court orders that were signed in my case. I'll touch on a few of the more memorable ones. If anyone should doubt me then please by all means go to the Union County court house in Elizabeth, New Jersey and read our divorce file. At the time of our dissolution of marriage our case was the most lengthy divorce case on record in Union County. Our divorce and child support file is enormous. The files are all a matter of public record and anyone is free to review and read the files. All of the transcripts in our case are also a matter of public record. Immediately after our separation she called Verizon and attempted to switch the phone account into her name. Her name wasn't listed on the phone bill. When they refused she reported my death to them. They replaced my name with her name on the account. Later on, I had to fax a copy of my driver's license to Verizon in order to prove that I was still alive. I guarantee that Verizon will never switch another account without first receiving a death certificate as verification because of our case. She cashed a personal check written out to me and mailed to our house for $373. I had tried to put a stop payment on that check, but was too late. My attorney presented a copy of that check with her writing on the reverse side and asked the presiding Judge in Union County to court order that she reimburse me, he refused. My response would be that in the other 49 states and the District of Columbia that is considered theft as well as forgery. But that wasn't the case according to the Superior court Judge in Union County, New Jersey. My ex-wife and I were regularly putting money into a college savings account for our son Justin. My name wasn't listed on that account. I didn't think it would ever matter. I was wrong. My attorney asked the Judge to court order that she divulge the savings account when we were divorced. The Judge refused. I had even produced a receipt verifying that I had made deposits into that bank account. She wouldn't willingly divulge the account saying I never put any money into it. To this day we have NO idea what ever happened to our son's savings account. For all we know she may have spent the money. Pretty sad. When our son Justin was only four years old, this same Judge signed a court order that stated I could only communicate with him on his own personal cell phone. Can you imagine a Superior court Judge signing a court order that requires a four year old child to carry his own personal cell phone???????? This was absolutely LUDICROUS!!!!! Then to add insult to injury he also required me to pay for half the cost of that cell phone. I was already paying my ex-wife over $360 a week in child support for one child. Another $25 per month was to be immediately added to my child support account. This same Superior court Judge also signed a court order giving my ex-wife's lawyer "power of attorney" to sign documents to refinance our home in Rahway, New Jersey because I had refused to sign a 'Quit Claim' deed and hand over the property to her. Have you ever heard of a Judge giving 'power of attorney' to the opposing lawyer in a legal divorce matter??? So in essence my home in Rahway, New Jersey was illegally taken away from me. I never gave anyone permission to sell our home there. My ex-wife violated court orders on a regular basis and never once received a consequence for any of those blatant violations. Most of these were visitation court orders. She did everything that she could think of in order to make me give up and walk away from a relationship with my own biological son. At one point I never saw Justin for over a year and yet all along she was receiving a lot more in weekly child support payments than she was legally entitled to receive. On two different occasions, I didn't speak to Justin on the telephone for over four months. Both times his mother violated court orders and refused to let me communicate with my own son.
