Teachers Needed for a School that Supports OUR Youth

Posted By: Samuel Burnham on February 21, 2011 Although I've not yet seen our own Black media, with 2 small exceptions, report this..even media at HBCUs...the African-Centered charter school below is responsible for two Presidential Scholars attending FAMU! Now their enrollment is growing and they need more teachers. Keep in mind that African-centered Charter Schools also teach a level of responsibility to the Black community...which includes HBCUs...that mainstream education systems...even those who cater to "minority" children... DO NOT TEACH! This level of commitment to and responsibility to the local and global Black community is NOT being taught at the "succesful" coroporate-sponsored charter schools that we've recently seen on TV and in newspapers. ONLY Black parents AND African-centered education teach this type of thing...IN ADDITION TO "the 3 R's" and other skills our children need to survive in a world often hostile to and confusiong to them.! Spread the message below to like-minded, action-oriented individuals. Respect, Samuel Burnham ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Greetings All; I am pleased to report that the Joseph Littles-NGUZO SABA Charter School survived the recent attempt by the Superintendent to close our school. Our students also did well on the state's standardized tests, and we have more than doubled our enrollment. There is at least the possibility that we may have another major increase in enrollment when the next school year starts in August, 2011. Should that happen, and we expect that it will, we will be needing additional staff. Preferably, we want to be able to bring in competent and qualified AFRICAN-CENTERED personnel, because as we've all learned from experience, "one cannot teach what one does not know," and teachers with African-centered expertise are in short supply. This correspondence in sent as a means of requesting your assistance in referring prospective applicants for anticipated positions at our school for next school year which starts in mid-August here in Palm Beach County, Florida.
