"For the Health of It" Teen Summit

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Theta Psi Omega and Iota Alpha Chapters will be co-hosting the 4th Annual “For the Health of It” Teen Health Summit. This year’s event will include brief presentations on a variety of topics concerning youth (i.e., financial literacy, spiritual health and wellness, substance abuse prevention, healthy relationships, positive body images, social media safety, asthma education, nutrition and exercise).

The event will take place on Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 11-2pm at the Providence Academy of International Studies (P.A.I.S.), 182 Thurbers Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island. For additional information, contact events@akathetapsiomega.org or visit www.akathetapsiomega.org.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is a Sisterhood which has been dedicated to service in the community since 1908. Theta Psi Omega is the graduate chapter and Iota Alpha is the undergraduate chapter from Brown University. Both serve in the Rhode Island area.
