A bright spot in dim economy--Students turn to growing health field

As the economy remains sluggish, some of those preparing to enter the work force are turning to medical fields to find jobs.



On the Eastern Shore, with nursing programs offered at several area colleges and a new pharmacy school at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, area students are able to get an education that can get them a job upon graduation. Even as general help wanted ads are few and far between, jobs in the health care industry remain available, especially in nursing.
