Students star in Marion step show

Posted By: Stacie Coulter on March 21, 2011 By Naeem McFadden More than 100 youth group steppers took to the stage for a night of entertainment during Saturday’s Step 2 Greatness competition. “It’s a community step show and we’re basically just trying to come out do something for the youth,” Chris Williams CEO of Dream Helpers said. The Columbia non profit mentoring program organized the event and also works with the Arts Providing Positive Learning and Enrichment program out of Marion School District Two. “Part of how we stay funded is through community events like this, along with a yearly scholarship and traveling through the state putting together events,” Williams said.
