Blatant Disrespect

Posted By: Ivan Butcher II on April 16, 2011 If not now, when will White America begin to realize that Black Americans are their only true Ally left in the Non- White World? How and Why would any nation or it’s people around the world believe, that with the racial and social inequality that still exist in America, that this form of democracy is legitimate or humane? I was told, as a child, to look first to see how they treat their own, and you will have a good idea to how they will treat you. History teaches us that The Black Church was the moral force behind the abolishment of slavery. But this would not have been achieved without the conscious efforts of those White Christian Abolitionist. How can today’s white Christian ministers, who profess to be the guiding spiritual light for their parishioners, knowingly attack or remain silent to the truth of the horrendous legacy of America’s past history, in regard to the injustices of slavery and racism in this country. We are taught to accept the Holocaust, but we are encouraged to forget the atrocities and the injustices perpetrated on the millions of Native Americans, African and Asians on which this nations prosperity was built.
