Community Newspaper Making Education the Trend

Posted By: Stacie Coulter on May 04, 2011 By Josephine Nicholas: “Statistics show that 85% of business success is connected to people skills,” says Josephine Nicholas, PR Agent with Insert Catchy Headlines, and a certified Business Protocol and Etiquette instructor based out of Ann Arbor, MI. “Proper training on how to best conduct yourself in business settings can increase your bottom line and position in the market.” In an effort to stay ahead of the curve, and in an age when other community newspapers are going out of business, AnnArbor.com, has been sponsoring free educational workshops in their Community Space. Their latest workshop is a three-part series on business etiquette and protocol by Josephine Nicholas, and their aim is to provide local business professionals the opportunity to brush up on their work manners. “We’re pleased that we are able to offer cost-free event programming of this nature as a source of enrichment for our community members,” says Jill Tewsley, Events and Promotions Manager for AnnArbor.com. The first of the three series will involve the topic of mixing food with business and will be held on Thursday, May 12th from 12pm to 1pm at AnnArbor.com. Visit the AnnArbor.com events calendar for more information. “Whether networking at events, meeting for coffee, enjoying lunch or dinner over a business meeting, or attending formal events, many business professionals are often uncertain about who should pick up the tab, if is okay to order dessert, or if taking leftovers back is proper etiquette,” continues Josephine. “This session will answer these common questions and provide you with answers to questions you should be asking, but aren’t. The series will provide the tools that give you an advantage in situations where business may be promoted or conducted.” About Josephine Nicholas: Josephine Nicholas is a certified Corporate Protocol and Etiquette instructor, and owns her own PR Agency, Insert Catchy Headlines, based in Ann Arbor, MI.
