Posted By: How May I Help You NC on May 04, 2011 Regular Full Time Achievement Coach responsibilities include: Develop intervention activities to improve the retention of Applied Technology students; plans, coordinates and implements programs that are designed to improve retention and graduation rates. Identifies academic and support service needs of special population; maintains data collection system, designs and administers surveys; prepares reports, identifies data to monitor and measure student success; provides information on CNM policies, procedures, and activities, including but not limited to financial aid, scholarship opportunities and regulations, academic regulations, advisement and counseling referral, and other student services; provides information for other related resources outside CNM; supervises student employees and peer mentors; provides faculty and student support and training; serves as liaison to other CNM Achievement Coaches; performs related duties as assigned. Team or task team participation is required as well as participation in CNM opportunities for professional growth and development. Must work effectively with students and faculty. To ensure compliance with federal and college requirements some mandatory training must be completed for this position. Candidate Qualifications & Requirements include: Master's degree from an accredited institution and two (2) years progressive and directly related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Experience working with socio-economically disadvantaged populations. Working knowledge of special populations, students' needs, and intervention strategies. Ability to work effectively with students and faculty. Effective oral and written communication skills with diverse audiences, including group presentations. Ability to relate to and interact with a non-traditional diverse employee and student population.
