What's the deal? Is There Too Much Emphasis On a Woman's Size? Your Thoughts? Here's mine... Is there a social stigma that indirectly states that women are to be sex-symbol like beings in order for their partners, boyfriends, or husbands to be forever faithful for them? Is there a double standard when it comes to men and women losing weight? Are you constantly watching your figure due the pressure put on you because of what the media says you should look like? Are you trying to constantly look like your favorite actress, model or singer because that is what you think men want? Do most women have body image issues? Today's society is so hung up on looks. Perceptions that people are so unhappy with how they look and are taking drastic measures to change. I am a true believer in being healthy, eating right, toning up and exercising but when you start to try to lose too much because a magazine said your ideal weight should be something else then that's where the problem lies. There is nothing wrong with a woman having a "little" something to hold on too!!I believe that a woman should be "thick". There's nothing more exquisite than a curvy woman. I am amazed at the hate that is thrown toward plus size women. Not every woman that is over the size of 10 is fat and not everyone is curvaceous because they're lazy and don't exercise or eat right. Just like not every woman who is skinny is anorexic! The same way that some thin people can't gain weight no matter what, the opposite is also true. In addition, not everyone who's big is unhealthy. Somewhere along the line people felt that only skinny people are what the world wants. But if these magazines would pay closer attention to women, they would see that many more women are curvier today. It seems if you are skinny, you are trying to get thinner...if you feel you are overweight you are trying to get thinner. I say let's just try to be healthy and live our lives!! Love you and that's all that matters...skinny or full size...you are beautiful and you need to start reminding yourself of that fact! Make a "why I like myself" list. Think of all the things about YOU that you like -- are you honest? Creative? Intelligent? Compassionate? Loyal? Kind? Think of all the reason you deserve to love yourself and write them down. Hang the list up next to the mirror as a reminder that these things are what make you truly beautiful. We are all different and we're supposed to be that way. It would be an incredibly boring world if we all looked exactly the same. It's a truly special experience to look around and realize that everyone is beautiful, no matter what size, color or gender they are. Women…you’re all beautiful!!!!
