Posted By: Crystal Jones on September 23, 2005 well...i dont want to start any controversy, this is just how its been for me. the men that have approached me so far in college are like underwear from Victoria's secret. they are appealing, make you look good, and really pretty at first. but then when you start talking the elastic wears and the color fades, they shrink then dont really fit right anymore and your crack starts showing when you sit down. well thats irrelavant...lol but really it seems nobody is for me. its always something wrong...too immature, too nasty, too emotional (yes some men tend to be sensitive with their pride & short tempered=emotional) i know im going to get some hate comments but thats how im feeling. i dont mean to generalize or stereotype and sorry if anyone is offended, but this is true for me. where are the intelligent, ambitious, attractive, mature men in college?...matter fact where are the men in HBCUs period. but thats a whole nother issue... i felt the same way. you are strong because you still haven't given up. Its not just men in HBCUs. I'm temporarily displaced at a non HBCU and the men of "color" act funny there too. I just think we are chillin in the wrong places and one day we are going to bump into someone and its going to be like a slap in the face.

LMAO! Yes I feel the same way, especially about the appealing part, but hey once you get tired of those underwear, what do you do? You look for new ones. What I'm trying to say is, you never know if you like something(underwear in this case) or someone (men) until you give it a try. Just keep tryin until you find the right pair that satisfies you completely and a pair that you want to show off to your girl friends. I hope I made sense to you.

Well it's vice versa. I believe some females live for the moment, and go for the pretty boys and thugs or the guys who have a status on campus. Females say want to commit, but in reality women are immature too. It takes at least six months to get to know someone. Self evaluate yourself first and don't drop your standards and then you will find the man you want, because most guys just want to hit and leave you alone. Be stingy with your goodies then all the bad guys will filter out , and then you run into a romeo with a confident swagger like myself. Muah 1 luv ;)
