Posted By: LaShonda Redd on September 26, 2005 Ok ever since i was old enough to know what sex was my mom has told me that abortion should be the last result when you accidently get pregnant and i have also learned that to many abortions can mess up your organs and after reading different books and hearing different stories i fouind out that it is in fact true well so far but i cant seems to get my friend to understand she is putting herself in trouble. The first time she got pregnant she had a miscarriage because she was under alot of stress and the second time she just couldnt handle a baby so she got a abortion and now that that she is pregnant again she seems to be looking at the same solution and i cant convince her is she keeps doing it its going to mess her organs up. So im thinking is you guys write and tell her what the deal is and i be able to show her then she might get the picture and learn to live up to the responsibility she made for herself. You made a decision to have s*x and when you did that you knew you had the possibility of becoming pregnant. Now you must step up to your actions and take responsibility for the baby that is living inside of your body. Once a monitor was put up to the uterus of a woman aborting her baby and the baby was struggling intensely as he/she was killed. Just because the baby is not born yet does not mean he/she is not alive. The baby is indeed alive! In "Before Making a "Choice": Be Informed! these things are stated of a forming baby... "The circulatory system begins to develop at 15-17 days; the brain and nervous system are established at 20 days; a tiny heart beat begins at just 22 days; brain-wave activity can be recorded at just 35 days; at 45 days the skeleton is complete (in cartilage) and movement begins; at 63 days the baby squints if stroked in the face, and tries to grasp objects placed in its hand." Therefore as much as you may argue that your baby is not a baby yet.. you are indeed wrong. Especially look at babies who are born prematurely as early as sometimes 3,4,5 months old. They look like real babies and they ARE real babies.. they just have to have support and help to breathe and live now because that was what the mother's uterus was for and now they have lost that and must try to survive on their own through incubators and respirators. Abortions are very dangerous for you as well. They have been known to make women very ill and some women have died while having them done. Do you want to do that to your parents? I know you are scared and yes they may be disappointed with your untimely pregnancy, but they will forgive you... this is their grandbaby! If you have ever dreamed of having children after you are married.. you may want to reconsider that option if you have an abortion. How will you tell your husband one day that you can't have children because you murdered the baby God entrusted you with? You see.. during an abortion they go in and rip your cervix apart forcefully (quite painful!) The cervix is what barricades the baby into your body. Therefore because it is forcefully ripped apart and not naturally grown apart (through labor)the cervix rarely can grow back together. Therefore if you are to become pregnant again when you are married you will more than likely miscarry because the baby cannot stay inside your uterus without your cervix being together! That's how important your body is to a baby and how magnificently God created it for a pregnancy. This baby may be an accident to you.. I understand that. But you must understand that this baby is not an accident to God. You have no plans for him/her, but God does. What if your parents had murdered you? They would've missed every milestone, laugh, cry, hurt, love, and joy you've brought them. If you don't want this baby then give him/her up for adoption. Thousands of couples who are married cannot get pregnant because of medical problems. It really bothers me that teens CAN get pregnant and then murder their baby when married couples would die for the chance to become pregnant and/or have a baby. Sorry for the long response but these are some words that my aunt sent to me so i wouldnt make that choice. I dont know if she wrote it or got it off the net but it makes you think. that is what you friend needs to do, THINK

Alexandria, deep Sis. What else can I say, but I'm down with you. To each their own, but to use abortion as a form of birth control says a lot about the moral integrity of the person. I don't believe in it. I have had females that have had miscarriages from me and all of them hurt. One female had an abortion from me that I did not condone. I was told on a Fri, I asked her not to and that I wanted to talk about it. No I did not want to have a child out of wed lock, but I will stand by my child. That Mon, she told me she had an abortion, I have not spoken with her since but I hold no grudges. All life is a gift from God for a reason despite the circumstances. I believe there is a difference if it comes down to life, molestation and rape, but these are exception to the rule. Anyway.... I'm down with what Alexandria said. This comment is coming from my cousin whom I am on the phone with right now, she has had more than one abortion as well so her response would be from experince.. " It's depends on the realationshio between the two peolpe wheter or not to take responsibilty, enjoying the satisfaction is not worth it for thirty minutes...and as far as the body is concernced it does mess ur body up, your ovaries has to heal, cervix, u can become sterile and have funny periods ahe does not suggest it"
