Posted By: Lemuel Berry on September 28, 2005 National Association of African American Studies Conference The National Association of African American Studies was founded in 1993 on the campus of Virginia State University, Petersburg, VA. The organization has as it mission to: provide African Americans with outstanding traditional and no-traditional educational experiences; provide academicians, professionals and scholars an opportunity to present research related to people of color at an annual national conference; provide members an opportunity to publish research in the Journal of Intercultural Disciplines and monograph series and participate in select sponsored international programs in the People’s Republic of China, Africa, Taiwan and South America. To date, more than 900 persons have participated in the international programs. CALL FOR PAPERS NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF AFRICAN AMERICAN STUDIES National Conference February 13-18, 2006 Baton Rouge, Louisiana Abstracts, not to exceed two (2) pages, should be submitted that relate to any aspect of the African and African American experience. Subjects may include, but are not limited to: literature, demographics, history, politics, economics, education, health care, fine arts, religion, social sciences, business and many other subjects.
