DEADLINE: July 1st, 2011

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and Accenture have teamed up to provide financial assistance to outstanding students attending one of the specified TMCF 47-member public Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs). The Accenture Scholarship is a need-based merit award of $4,400. To be eligible, students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, express interest in a corporate career, meet the major requirements and demonstrate leadership.

Accenture Scholarship Requirement:

•Attend Florida A&M, North Carolina A&T, and Prairie view A&M.
•Be a Junior or Senior.
•Major Requirements: Engineering or Technology.
•Express an interest in a corporate career.
•Demonstrate financial need.
•Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
•Demonstrate leadership ability.
•Be a U.S. citizen.

To complete your application, please submit the following supporting documents.



INCOMPLETE FILES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED

•Resume (include community service and any employment/internship experiences)

•One letter of recommendation from a faculty or staff member at your TMCF-member school. (Applicants are required to provide a scanned copy of the letter in pdf format so it can be uploaded)

•Submission of a copy of the Student Aid Report (received from filing FAFSA)

•Most recent Transcript (Applicants may upload a copy of either an unofficial or official transcript)

•Essay

◦*In a minimum of 500 words, please address ONE of the following questions
1.What do you consider to be society's most important problem? Why?
2.Would you explain the importance of your major in today’s society?
3.What does it mean to be the first person in your family to receive a college degree?
