Posted By: Shelia Bowers on September 30, 2005 Will someone tell me why some people just have to have an attitude? Why do some girls think it's cute to be loud or ditzy? Why do some guys just talk about getting some ass? Is our race really as superficial as it seems in college? Everyday on the Yard I observe crazy things. People loud-talking about what (or who) they did last night, girls with skirts just as short as this:__________, dudes talking about hitting, getting that cheese, etc. I ask again, are black people really as superficial as they seem on our HBCU campuses? I hope not because our race would be in a lot more trouble when our generation comes of age than it is now. I think for now or now it is to a certain extent. But i believe its at any campus, not just hbcu's. I think its more of a train of thought for younger individuals. I guess its just theyre immaturity or ignorance. They really dont know any better. they get a little freedom an go wild. or conform to what they believe is status quo. Its a mob mentality almost. Im like this, if i fuccced a girl till the sun came up its nobody's business but me an hers. But for a younger guy who wants to be accepted by "the group" his dumbass is going to tell all his guys an even somegirls. He dont realize jus how bad he put her out there or his own "buddies" are now scheming on how they can hit her. Women are the same way in general. we all want to be accepted but we all dont have the capability to stand on our own. Some would ask me like "whats the difference between a man an a boy, or an "adult" and an boy" i usually respond a man wouldnt hav to ask the question. He already knows!
